Ukraine’s bauxite imports hike in Jan-May

According to Ukrainian customs statistics, Ukraine imported around 2.19 million tons of bauxite in the first five months of this year, hiking by 12.3% compared to the same period a year ago. The import value during the period was around US$99.39 million, a year-on-year increase of 16.8%.

Among them, the top three import sources were Guinea, Brazil, and Ghana, accounted for 60.15%, 22.26%, and 16.31 of the total supply, respectively.

Besides, Ukraine re-exported 94 tons of bauxite to Poland from January to May this year, followed by Germany, accounting for 84.21% and 15.79% of the total re-export volume, respectively.
