Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works, a steel plate producer in Ukraine, has overhauled the continuous pickling unit No. 4 of the cold rolling mill for the equipment’s preventive maintenance in order to prevent unit shutdown and ensure stable operation.

Zaporizhstal completed the overhaul at the third category of the No. 4 blast furnace, with an estimated cost of UAH 92 million. The works began on June 19 and lasted eight days.

During the period from 2022 to 2023, the company spent more than UAH 1.2 billion in upgrading production equipment and processing facilities. The program was to ensure the operation under unpredictable wartime conditions during Russia’s full-scale invasion.
