The Aluminum Association’s Foil Trade Enforcement Working Group requested the anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) probes on aluminum foil imports from Armenia, Brazil, Oman, Russia, and Turkey, alleging that the products mentioned above from these countries caused material injury to the US’ market.

According to the petitions, the imported aluminum foils from the five countries were sold at prices lower than fair value in the US market, of which the imports from Oman and Turkey received unfair subsidies from the government.

The claimed dumping margin of the subject countries was up to 107.61%, and Oman and Turkey separately obtained benefits from 8 and 25 government’s subsidy projects.
