US’ aluminum scrap exports decrease in Aug

According to the latest statistics from the US Geological Survey, the US exported around 161,000 tons of aluminum scrap in August, dropping by 1.9% compared to the previous month and also sliding by 2.42% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Malaysia had a year-on-year increase of 75.86% to 255,000 tons.

In the first eight months of this year, the US’ aluminum scrap exports reached 1.17 million tons, declining by 7.14% compared to the same period a year earlier.
