US’ primary aluminum production slightly drops in Aug

According to the latest statistics from the US Geological Survey, the US produced around 80,000 tons of primary aluminum in August, slightly dropping by 2.44% compared to the previous month.

During the reporting period, the aluminum output recycled from aluminum scrap was 270,000 tons, up by 0.75% from the previous month while sliding by 9% from August 2019.

Among them, 144,000 tons were recycled from new aluminum scrap and 126,000 tons were from old aluminum scrap.
