According to statistics from the US International Trade Commission (USITC), the US’ primary aluminum imports from Canada plummeted in September, which was lower than the import quota of 83,000 tons set by President Donald Trump.

Canada’s exports of unwrought, non-alloyed primary aluminum to the US amounted to approximately 66,100 tons in September, sharply dropping by 48.7% compared to the previous month and 52.5% from the same month a year ago.

The US-based Aluminum Association said that the US' aluminum imports from Canada have declined for three months in a row.
