US & Canada’s rig number rises

According to the report from Baker Hughes, as of the week ended September 18, the number of US’ drilling rigs totaled 255 units, rising by 1 unit compared to a week ago. Among them, the number of drilling rig for natural gas was up by 2 units to 73 units; that for oil slid by 1 unit week on week to 179 units. The total number had a year-on-year decline of 613 units.

During the same period, the number of Canadian drilling rigs was up by 12 units to 64 units compared to the previous week, totally decreasing by 55 units from the same period a year ago.
