US & Canada’s rig number rises

According to a report from Baker Hughes, as of the week ended May 28, the number of US’ drilling rigs totaled 457 units, hiking by 2 units compared to a week ago. Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas fell by 1 unit to 98 units, and that for oil rose by 3 units to 359 units. The total number had a year-on-year increase of 156 units.

During the same period, the number of Canadian drilling rigs increased by 4 units to 62 units compared to the previous week, totally increasing by 42 units from the same period a year ago.
