US’ crude steel production grows w-o-w in week ending on Dec 11

According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending on December 11, the production of US’ crude steel totaled 1.818 million short tons, growing by 0.6% from the same period a week ago and hiking by 12.8% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 82.4%, up by 0.5% week on week and going up by 9.5% year on year.

As of the week ending December 11, the adjusted year-to-date production of US’ crude steel has amounted to 89.899 million short tons, a year-on-year increase of 19.4%. The capacity utilization rate was 81.6%, a year-on-year growth of 13.5%.
