US’ crude steel production reduces

According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ended April 10, the production of US’ crude steel totaled around 1.76 million short tons, falling by 0.3% from the same period a week ago while rising by 42% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 77.6%, decreasing by 0.3% week on week while going up by 22.2% year on year.
As of the week ended April 10, the production of US’ crude steel amounted to around 24.93 million short tons this year, a year-on-year decrease of 1.94%. The capacity utilization rate was 77.0%, a year-on-year hike of 3.3%.
