According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 34,000 tons of hot-rolled steel bars in July this year, slightly decreasing by 0.3% compared to the previous month and also falling by 9% from the same month a year earlier.
Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 20,400 tons, a month-on-month increase of 2.2% and a year-on-year drop of 0.9%. Canada ranked second with roughly 12,300 tons, and the exports to other countries were not many.
During the period, the export value totaled about US$58 million, down by 4.1% month on month and by 9% year on year.
