US’ hot-rolled steel bar imports increase in June

Among them, the imports from Canada accounted for the largest proportion, reaching around 29,600 tons, a month-on-month increase of 10.5% and a year-on-year surge of 107.9%. Other import sources included Japan, France, Mexico, and Germany, with a separate volume of around 12,100 tons, 12,100 tons, 5,590 tons, and 4,700 tons.

According to the final Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported a total of around 71,100 tons of hot-rolled steel bar in June, increasing by 8.2% compared to the previous month and also hiking by 57.7% from the same month a year ago.

During the period, the import value was around US$76 million, up by 14.4% month on month and 98.7% year on year.
