US’ HRC exports increase in Nov 2021

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 67,000 tons of hot-rolled coils (HRC) in November 2021, hiking by 11.4% compared to the previous month and also rising by 11.7% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 40,300 tons, a month-on-month increase of 6.1% and a year-on-year drop of 16.6%. Canada ranked second with around 26,000 tons, and the exports to other countries were less than 1,000 tons.

During the period, the export value totaled roughly US$57 million, up by 6.7% month on month and by 23.4% year on year.
