US’ line pipe imports drop in Sep

According to the final Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 18,400 tons of line pipe in September, dropping by 9.5% compared to the previous month and also sliding by 54% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the imports from Japan accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 4,100 tons, rising from 1,300 tons in the previous month and 2,300 tons in September 2019. Other import sources included South Africa (around 2,900 tons), Brazil (around 2,800 tons), South Korea (around 2,600 tons), and Mexico (around 2,580 tons).
