US makes preliminary AD ruling on corrosion-resistant steel products from Taiwan & South Korea

According to the preliminary determination made by the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), Taiwanese and South Korean producers and exporters of certain corrosion-resistant steel products (CORE) sold their products with prices lower than fair value in the US market during the period of review from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.

The initial dumping margin for Taiwan was set at 0%-1.15%, and that for South Korea was at 0%-0.75%, depending on the producers and exporters.

In addition, the USDOC also found that South Korean producers and exporters of certain corrosion-resistant steel products received countervailable subsidies of 0.51%-6.87% during the review period in 2018.
