US’ Mayville to acquire aluminum extrusion company Mid-States Aluminum

US-based Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. (MEC) recently announced a plan to acquire Mid-States Aluminum Corp. (MSA) for around US$96 million. The specific price will be subject to customary adjustments.

The proposed acquisition was expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2023, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

After the acquisition, 250 employees will join MEC’s workforce.

MEC is a vertically integrated manufacturer of custom aluminum extrusions and fabrications based in Wisconsin, operating two facilities in Fond du Lac.

MSA is a leading aluminum extrusion manufacturer with value-added capabilities such as design, assembly, and packaging.
