The US’ Olympic Steel showed its preference for holding an optimistic view towards the long-term perspective of the local steel market during a telephone meeting. Rick Marabito, CEO of the mentioned enterprise, emphasized that there were now plenty of favorable factors for the steel market, such as the rising steel price as well as the expected infrastructure outlay.

Olympic Steel estimated that the hot-rolled price would keep going up as large mills kept raising their prices recently. While buyers tend to monitor the situation at first, some of them decide to enter the market at the moment, considering the price may go higher in the first quarter of the next year.
