US’ primary aluminum production slides in Jan

According to statistics from the US Geological Survey, the US produced 64,000 tons of primary aluminum in January, decreasing by 21.95% compared to the same month in 2022. The daily average output was 2,050 tons, a year-on-year decline of 21.95%.

During the reporting period, the aluminum output recycled from aluminum scrap was 278,000 tons, of which 162,000 tons were recycled from new aluminum scrap and 116,000 tons were from old aluminum scrap.
