US’ specialty alumina plant Lalumina about to close next month

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, LAlumina LLC, a specialty alumina manufacturer in the US, expected to close next month, which will affect more than 300 workers’ jobs.
It was understood that some companies have approached LAlumina for the acquisition, but no agreement has been reached so far.
Gabriel Henn, Managing Director of LAlumina, said that the market demand for specialty alumina has decreased during the epidemic. The company has tried to maintain its performance; however, it has been facing losses for several months.
