The Coalition of American Metal Manufacturers and Users (CAMMU), representing more than 30,000 US manufacturing companies and more than 1 million US workers, and the National Foreign Trade Council (NFTC) jointly sent a letter to US president Biden to ask an immediate termination of Section 232 tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.

The letter pointed out when the US is relying on the steel industry to help promote the economy and overcome the epidemic challenges, there is not only a shortage of steel and aluminum but high prices.

In the case that the steel and aluminum tariffs have not been revoked, the existing situation may be worse if the US government continues to promote the infrastructure.
