US’ structural pipe exports slide in Feb

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 8,000 tons of structural pipes in February, sliding by 21.5% compared to the previous month and also falling by 21.2% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 5,300 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 26.7% and a year-on-year hike of 3.6%. Mexico ranked second with roughly 2,400 tons, and the exports to other export destinations were less than 1,000 tons.

During the period, the export value totaled approximately US$13 million, down by 22.6% month on month and 11.2% year on year.
