India’s Vedanta said that India’s annual aluminum output will increase to 5 million tons in five to six years, which increases by about 25% from the current level at 4 million tons per year.

The firm predicted that this figure will further increase to 5.5-6 million tons if there are new market participants entering the aluminum industry during this period.

Fitch Solutions said that India will be the stand-out growth market for aluminum consumption in future years, whose consumption will triple from the current 2.6 million tons to 9.5 million tons by 2030.
