Wheels India to invest in new cast aluminum wheel factory

Wheels India Limited, one of the largest steel wheel manufacturers in the world, is planning to invest 1.77 billion rupees to set up a new cast aluminum wheel factory located in Thervoy Kandigai, near Chennai. The annual production capacity could reach 750,000 wheels.
The products will be exported mainly, and the firm will also seek supply from the domestic market.
As the economic blockade has been easing gradually, Wheels India’s production has reached 90% of the pre-epidemic level.
