Yieh Hsing Enterprise Co., Ltd., one of the major wire rod manufacturers in Taiwan, raised the price for both stainless steel wire rods and carbon steel wire rods for February to moderately reflect production costs.

The company said the decision to increase prices was due to the continuously high price of raw materials, such as iron ore and coking coal. Besides, the global carbon reduction issues brought about by EU CBAM are also one of the cost considerations.

According to the price adjustment, the price of 304 stainless steel wire rods was up by NT$2,000/ton, and that of carbon steel wire rods was hiked by NT$1,000/ton. Also, the surcharge for 316 products was raised by NT$1,000/ton, and the price of the 200 and 400 series remained unchanged.
