According to (worldsteel),Global crude steel output decreases in Aug

Global crude steel output amounted to 156.8 million tons in August, falling by 1.4% compared to the same month a year ago.

During the reporting period, the output in Asia was around 113 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.3%; that in the EU’s 27 countries was 11.6 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 27.1%; that in North America was 10.2 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 24.4%; that in South America was 4.0 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.2%; that in Africa was 1.3 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 38.2%; that in the Middle East was 3.6 million tons, a year-on-year growth of nearly 11%.

In the first eight months of this year, global crude steel output totaled 1.32 billion tons, rising by 10.6% compared to the same period a year earlier.
