India's Adani Group planned to invest US$5.2 billion to build an alumina refinery with an annual production capacity of four million tons in the eastern Indian state of Odisha.

The flagship company under the group has been approved to build a refinery and a captive power plant in Rayagada, Odisha, according to a tweet posted by Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha.
