According to statistics, Alcoa’s bauxite shipment exceeded 12 million tons in the third quarter, which hit a record high. Therefore, the firm’s bauxite shipment was expected to reach 48-49 million dry tons by the end of this year.

Due to the increase in bauxite production, Alcoa's shipments to its cooperating companies also rose by around 6% in the meantime.

In addition, Alcoa's operating revue hiked by 10% to US$2.4 billion during the period, driven by the increased alumina prices and shipments.
