Aluminium Bahrain’s performance in Q2 & H1 2020

According to the report released by Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the firm’s net profit was US$57.6 million in the second quarter, increasing by 41% compared to the same period a year ago. In the first half of this year, the net profit had a year-on-year surge of 241% to nearly US$147 million.

In terms of sales volume, Aluminium Bahrain had a total sales of around 391,000 tons in the second quarter, growing by 25% year on year. The output was roughly 378,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 24%. The sales volume of value-added products accounted for 34% of total shipments.

In 2020, Aluminium Bahrain aimed to produce 1.54 million tons of aluminum.
