Alunorte alumina refinery’s output to rebound as Hydro’s completes pipeline maintenance

According to Norsk Hydro’s official announcement on October 8, the firm’s maintenance at its pipeline transportation of Paragominas bauxite mine in Brazil has been completed, and the output at Alunorte alumina refinery will rebound accordingly.
It was previously reported that the pipeline was used to transport bauxite to Alunorte alumina refinery from Paragominas bauxite mine, so the two-month maintenance affected Alunorte’s full alumina production capacity by 35-45%.
