Aperam raises European stainless steel alloy surcharges for Dec

Aperam, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Luxembourg, raised the alloy surcharge for most of its European austenitic flat stainless steel products for December.

The surcharge for 304 (1.4301) was hiked to EUR 2,680/ton from November’s EUR 2,464/ton; that for 316 was increased to EUR 4,264/ton from EUR 4,180/ton in the previous month; that of 309S, used in high-temperature corrosion resistance applications, was raised to EUR 3,731/ton from last month’s EUR 3,645/ton; that of ferritic stainless steel 409 was dropped to EUR 851/ton from EUR 928/ton of the previous month.
