According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global alumina production totaled around 12 million tons in October this year, hiking by 4% compared to the preceding month and by 5.5% from the year-ago level. Among them, China’s alumina output was up by 2.96% month on month and by 12.8% year on year, reaching 6.98 million tons.

In the first ten months of this year, global alumina production amounted to approximately 116.1 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 0.44%. China’s output accounted for 65.65 million tons, up by 4.6% year on year.
