Aperam raises European stainless steel alloy surcharges for Feb

Aperam, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Luxembourg, raised its alloy surcharge for European austenitic flat stainless steel products for February.

The surcharge for 304 (1.4301) was hiked to EUR 2,519/ton from January’s EUR 2,427/ton; that for 316 was increased to EUR 3,791/ton from EUR 3,643/ton in the previous month; that of 309S, used in high-temperature corrosion resistance applications, was raised to EUR 3,409/ton from last month’s EUR 3,267/ton; that of ferritic stainless steel 409 was dropped to EUR 898/ton from EUR 922/ton of the previous month.
