Argentina’s crude steel output hikes by 3.4% in Aug

According to statistics from Argentina's Steel Chamber (CAA), in August, Argentina’s crude steel output was around 336,000 tons, increasing by 3.4% month on month but decreasing by 22.8% year on year.

During the same period, Argentina’s hot-rolled finished steel output decreased by 23.1% year on year to around 313,000 tons but increased by 3.4% month on month, and the output of cold-rolled flat steel was roughly 117,000 tons, up by 9.6% year on year and 11% month on month.

In the first eight months of this year, Argentina’s crude steel output amounted to roughly 2.13 million tons, sliding by nearly 33% compared to the same period of last year, hot-rolled finished steel output was 1.95 million tons, down by nearly 32% year on year, and cold-rolled flat steel output fell by 9.9% year on year to roughly 677,000 tons.
