According to senior WoodMac manager Uday Patel, Australia's ban on alumina and bauxite exports to Russia, as a part of its sanctions on Russia, will further disrupt RUSAL’s production and supply chains.

RUSAL is now evaluating the impact caused by Australia's export ban and will announce the result if necessary.

Uday Patel said that it is possible for RUSAL to purchase alumina through Chinese entities. The aluminum giant is likely to buy alumina from China and redirect sales through eastern Russian ports.
