Brazil’s ArcelorMittal & Petrobras sign cooperation for low-carbon economy development

Petrobras, a state-owned Brazilian multinational corporation in the petroleum industry, and ArcelorMittal Brazil have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for exploring potential business models within the low-carbon economy, including low-carbon fuels, hydrogen, renewable energy production, and carbon capture and storage (CCS).

The two companies planned to set up a carbon capture and storage hub in the state of Espírito Santo. The hub was expected to make CCS as the big-scale decarbonization solution.
