Brazil's domestic flat-rolled steel products prices to increase in May

As global steel and raw material prices remained to increase and Brazil's domestic demand is still strong, it was said that Brazil's domestic flat-rolled steel products price will be increased by 16% to 18% in May.

Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) announced to increase its prices by 16-18% on April 29, of which hot-rolled coil (HRC) price will be up by 16%, cold-rolled coil (CRC) will be raised by 18%, and galvalume will be subject to a price increase of 16.5%.

Besides, Usiminas was heard to increase its price by 10% in May, ArcelorMittal planed a price hike of 17%, and Gerdau will raise its prices by 12% and 15% for steel plate and HRC. However, these price adjustments haven't been confirmed by producers.
