Brazil's pig iron production & exports increase in Mar

According to statistics from Brazil Steel Institute (Instituto Aço Brasil, IABr), Brazil produced around 2.24 million tons of pig iron in March, rising by 7.6% compared to the preceding month but dropping by 1.6% from the year-ago level.
In terms of exports, the volume totaled around 437,500 tons in March, soaring by 111% month on month and rising by nearly 39% year on year.

In the first three months of this year, Brazil’s pig iron production amounted to 6.6 million tons, down by 1.3% year on year. The exports during the period reached roughly 882,000 tons, increasing by 8.4% year on year.
