Century Aluminum to expand Mt. Holly aluminum smelter

Century Aluminum, a US-based primary aluminum producer, announced that it will expand the production capacity at its Mt. Holly aluminum smelter with a total investment of more than $60 million, which will be completed by the end of 2021. The expansion project was expected to create 100 new job opportunities in Berkeley County.

Century Aluminum’s aluminum ingots are mainly applied in the automotive, electrical, construction, aerospace, and military industries.
