The Liancheng Branch of Chinalco has achieved a significant milestone by passing the certification of the China Classification Society for its energy management system. This success is attributed to the branch's proactive implementation of green and low-carbon development practices during the resumption of the 500kA electrolysis series production in 2022.

As a result, the branch has strengthened its basic management, improved all production indicators, and continuously optimized its energy management system.

By obtaining the successful certification, the energy management systems at all levels of the branch will be systematized and standardized, laying a solid foundation for establishing a systematic energy-saving management model. This will reduce credit and insurance risks and attract external investment, obtaining various national incentives and fiscal and taxation policy support. The certification will also provide an effective guarantee for continuously improving energy utilization, conducting green factory evaluations, and enhancing industry competitiveness.

As stated in the report to the 20th CPC National Congress of the Communist Party of China, promoting green and low-carbon economic and social development is crucial to achieving high-quality development. The branch understands this and has committed to implementing the development concept of low-carbon, intelligence, and standardization in every production corner through energy structure adjustment, technological innovation practice, and improvement of management ability.
