China’s primary aluminum production statistics in H1 2020

According to statistics, in the first half of this year, China’s primary aluminum production totaled around 18.13 million tons, the consumption was roughly 17.92 million tons, and the production surplus was nearly 210,000 tons.
It was expected that the production of primary aluminum in 2020 will be around 37 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.27%, the consumption will be approximately 36.5 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.85%, and the annual surplus was about 430,000 tons.
