China's steel consumption gradually picking up

With the arrival of the traditional peak season, steel mills in the Chinese market have continued to increase production and reduce inventory recently. In addition, the implementation of infrastructure construction by the Chinese government has driven the consumption of construction steel to bloom.

The production costs of coke and coking coal rise continuously. As local mills' margins recovered, the purchase of raw materials for production is actively increasing.

At present, the market price relies on the support of production costs. If actual demand improves further, coupled with a boost of government policies, it is expected that the follow-up price will continue to rise.
