Coal India increases non-coking coal prices

According to reports, state-owned mining company Coal India Limited (CIL) has increased the price of high-grade non-coking coal by 8%, effective May 31, 2023. It will be applicable to all its subsidiaries as well. It was the first time for CIL to revise its coal prices since 2018.

Coal India indicated that its production, until March 30, 2023, totaled about 700.4 million tons, increasing by 13% year on year.

Besides, CIL expects to earn a revenue of Rs 2,703 crore during the balance period of the fiscal year 2023-24.
