Colombia's steel product exports soar in Jan-May

According to the Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE), Colombia exported approximately 90,000 tons of steel products in the first five months of 2022, soaring by 97% from the same period a year ago. The export value was around US$451 million, skyrocketing by 143.9% year on year.
In May, Colombia exported roughly 15,000 tons, hiking by 82.4% from the same month last year. The export value was about US$93 million, a year-on-year increase of 190.1%.
