On November 29, 2023, the Department for Internal Market Defence of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) started an anti-circumvention investigation to examine whether aluminum tapes originating in Azerbaijan and China were re-exported to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) by changing production methods to evade anti-dumping duties.

The probe was launched based on an application filed by the Association of Producers, Suppliers and Consumers of Aluminum.

The subject products are under HS codes 7606111000 and 7607119000.
