First aluminum rolling mill to be established in Jordan

On July 20, Jordan’s Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) signed a US$175-million agreement with Orbit Aluminum Industries to establish the region's aluminum rolling mill in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).
This aluminum rolling mill was expected to generate an export value of more than US$400 million a year. 240 people will be employed in the first phase of this project, and another 400 jobs will be created in the second phase.
