Hydro’s bauxite, alumina, primary aluminum output slide in H1

Norwegian aluminum producer Norsk Hydro reported that its bauxite output was around 2.74 million tons in the second quarter of this year, hiking by 3% compared to the same period a year ago.
During the period, the output of alumina was 1.54 million tons, a year-on-year drop of 3%; that of primary aluminum was 532,000 tons, down by 5% year on year.
In the first half of this year, Hydro’s bauxite output dropped by 1.8% to approximately 5.38 million tons, alumina output slid by 2.3% to 3.05 million tons, and primary aluminum decreased by 2.5% to 1.07 million tons, all year on year.
