Germany’s aluminum scrap exports & imports statistics in 2018-2020

According to statistics, Germany exported 1.14 million tons of aluminum scrap in 2018. The figure in 2019 was down by 3.5% year on year to 1.1 million tons, and the figure in 2020 was predicted to keep decreasing by 0.9% year on year to 1.09 million tons.

Germany mainly exported aluminum scrap to Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech, etc.

As for imports, Germany imported 850,000 tons of aluminum scrap in 2018. The figure in 2019 was up by 11.76% year on year to 950,000 tons, and that in 2020 was predicted to keep rising by 1.05% year on year to 960,000 tons.

Germany mainly imported aluminum scrap from Australia, Austria, the UK, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, etc.
