Global alumina production grows in Jul

According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global alumina production was 12.15 million tons in July this year, increasing by 3.56% compared to the previous month and by 3.52% from the same month a year ago.
During the period, China's alumina production was up by 3.07% month on month and by 6.35% year on year to 7.05 million tons.
In the first seven months of this year, global alumina production amounted to 80.44 million tons, sliding by 0.86% year on year from 81.13 million tons in the corresponding period a year earlier.
