Due to a lack of demand caused by Covid-19, stainless steel output had restrictions in 2020. As the Covid-19 pandemic is gradually going away, global steel mills start to recover their capacity.

According to the statistic, the global stainless steel market production was expected to rise to 54 million tons in 2021, especially in Indonesia which was forecasted to have a greater output than most developed countries.

Also, steel distributors and suppliers believed that demand for luxury items such as appliances and automobiles will grow further; therefore, global stainless steel demand will keep growing.
