India launches AD investigation against aluminum foil imports from China

Based on the complaint filed by Hindalco Industries Ltd., Raviraj Foils Ltd., and Jindal (India) Ltd., India has launched an anti-dumping investigation against aluminum foil 80 microns and below originating in or imported from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand

The products under investigation are aluminum foils with a thickness of 80 microns or less (permissible tolerance), whether printed or backed with paper, cardboard, plastic or similar materials.

The products involved in this case are under the Indian Customs codes 760711, 76071110, 76071190, 760719, 76071910, 76071991, 76071992, 76071993, 76071994, 76071995, 76071999, 760720, 76072010, and 76072010.

The period of the investigation was from April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020, and the period of the injury investigation was from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017, April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018, and April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019.
